Our client,
East African Portland Cement Company “EAPCC”, has been one of Kenya’s leading
cement manufacturers since 1933, helping build Kenya in areas such as housing,
education, health, tourism, transport and communication.
To support
its objectives of growth, expansion and sustained profitability, EAPCC is
looking for performance driven, results oriented and innovative leaders to fill
the positions of Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Chief Operations Officer
(COO), to lead two of its key organisational functions - Finance and Operations
as follows:
Chief Operations Officer
(Ref: ESS 522)
Reporting
to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will be responsible for production
operations, production engineering, product research and development, sales and
marketing.
The
successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in engineering or relevant
technical field, training in organisational management approaches such as Total
Quality Management.
S/he will
have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in operations management, seven of which
should be at senior management level in a comparable organisation.
A Masters’
degree in business administration and experience working in a cement
manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Chief Finance Officer
(Ref: ESS 523)
Reporting
to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be responsible for the
organisation’s financial management including management accounting, credit
management, cash flow management and financial reporting as well as end-to-end
supply chain management, process controls and business risk management.
The
successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in commerce or any other
business related field and professional qualification in accounting (CPAK or
ACCA Finalist).
S/he will
have a minimum of IS years’ experience in finance and accounting, seven of
which should be at senior management level in a comparable organisation.
A Masters’
degree in business administration and experience working in a cement
manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
All
candidates are required to obtain clearance from the Criminal Investigations
Department, the Kenya Revenue Authority and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption
Commission.
The
original copies of these clearances should be presented by the candidates
during interviews.
