Business Systems Manager
The
incumbent will be responsible for various solutions within the business that
directly support business process and decision-making.
The
successful candidate will lead a team of enthusiastic Systems Analysts to
ensure that appropriate business solutions are adopted, appropriately
implemented and adequately supported throughout their lifetime.
The holder
of this position will spearhead various projects within ICT.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Management of Publishing systems, ERP and other systems under business systems to ensure availability, performance, integrity and security are as per policy, to the highest standards and global best practice.
- Ensure appropriate SLAs are maintained with capable service providers.
- Ensure that Disaster Recovery and Disaster Contingency mechanisms are fully developed to support business needs, maintained and periodically tested to policy requirements.
- Ensure service to customers as per IT Service Level Agreement with the Business.
- Ensure staff within Business Systems are appropriately skilled, motivated, appraised and maintain discipline.
- Appraise staff and identify their strengths and weakness and recommends appropriate training to develop and optimize individual talents.
- Recommend, co-ordinate and facilitate training requirements for end-users whenever required.
- Prepare appropriate management reports to support decision-making across the business.
- Propose, plan resourcing and manage ICT Projects to completion on time and budget.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- At least 8 years’ experience in IT related field, 2 of these must be in a busy ERP environment with a managerial role.
- Knowledge, experience and certification in SAP ERP.
- Experience in SAP implementation is a key advantage.
- Knowledge of Sun systems
