Summary: Our client is a holding company of
several subsidiary companies involved in flour milling, animal feeds among
others.
Our client
is looking to fill the position of Inbound Logistics Manager, who will be responsible
for coordinating all inbound logistics to the company, ensuring timeliness and
quality of raw material and other inbound goods in line with company policies
and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure the right quality and quantity of raw and packaging materials and in bound transport in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Maintain a data base for both local and overseas suppliers and seek to build good business relationships with them
- Process import and export documentation promptly to ensure efficient clearance
- Check and approve invoices for clearing and forwarding services and inbound transporters for payment.
- Determine optimize stock holding level and ensure adherence to the same
- Reconcile import goods stocks in BAAN with Dispatch Outturn Reports from port of discharge.
- Liaise with Plants/Mills on tracking of dispatched goods, maintenance of stock records in the ERP and preparation of relevant reports
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate in a business related field
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management
- Minimum Five (5) years’ relevant experience which should include hands on experience in import and export procedures and inbound Logistics
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications
