The office
of the Kajiado County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and
qualified persons to fill the following positions:
Early Childhood
Development Teachers
Duties and Responsibilities
- Actual classroom teaching/caregiving.
- Interpretation of childcare services.
- Community mobilization on ECDE matters/activities.
- Be the linkage between child and parent.
- Advise on feeding programmes.
- Have adequate knowledge on growth-monitoring and evaluation of ECDE programmes.
Qualification Requirements
- A Kenyan citizen preferably from Kajiado County
- Be a holder of a Form Four certificate (EACE/KCE)
- Division III and above
- KCSE D+ and above
- KCSE D plain or certificate with KNEC proficiency
Professional Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma or degree in ECDE from a recognized institution.
- Experience in ECDE will be an added advantage.
- Certificate of Good Conduct.
- A letter of confirmation from the Head Teacher or the sponsor (PTA, organization, church, NGO).
- Be conversant with the ECDE syllabus and curriculum delivery.
- Be conversant with child-care services and care plus OVCs, child rights (abuse, neglect and labour), and with the working system line ministries like the Ministry of Health in administration of Vitamin A and de-worming and the Ministry of Water in the provision of safe drinking water.
- Any other relevant supporting documents.
The
