1. Medical Officer
The job holder
will be responsible for providing quality healthcare services to the hospital
clientele in line with the business objectives
Applicants
must be in possession of Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
Degree from a recognized University.
Candidates
must have completed internship in Kenya and be registered with the Kenya
Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
The
position requires active knowledge and experience in Standards and Patient
management and active application of Information Systems.
2. Medical Officer
Critical Care
The job
holder will be responsible for providing efficient and professional medical
care for patients in need of emergency and critical care.
Applicants
must be in possession of a Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
degree from a recognized University and be registered with the Kenya Medical
Practitioners and Dentists Board and have certification in Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS).Certification in Paediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Advance
Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) and Advanced Trauma Life Support will be an
added advantage.
He/she
should have 3 years clinical practice, of which 1 year should be in Critical
Care.
3. Nursing Officer –
(Theatre, I.C.U, Casualty & Wards)
These are
core positions within The Nairobi Womens Hospital. Reporting to the
Unit-Nursing Services Coordinator,
The
position holder will be responsible for Administration and control of
section(s) operations in line with the business objectives.
It is a
supervisory role thus exemplary leadership, technical knowhow & good people
skills are a must requirement.
The position holder/s will be
responsible for:
The organization,
administration and control of section;
Ensuring
Superior Customer Experience to both internal and external customers;
Ensuring
appropriate infection control;
Developing
standards operating procedures for the section(s);
Conducting
training in NWH including clinical instruction
Qualifications and Skills
- Applicants must be in possession of relevant Nursing qualification from a recognized school of nursing or University
- Current license with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- At least one post basic training i.e.Theatre &/ or Critical Care
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
4. Senior Staff Nurse
(Theatre, I.C.U, Casualty & Wards)
The
position holder will be responsible for control of operations in line with the
business objectives.
It is a
supervisory role thus exemplary leadership, technical knowhow & good people
skills are a must requirement.
The position holder shall be
responsible for;
- Delivering a professional and high standard of nursing care within the section while leading a team of nurses in delivering projects and team targets;
- Ensuring proper documentation, maintaining proper records, confidentiality, and handing over between shifts at all times;
- Orientating new staffs at the section level as well as Preparing, implementing and monitoring departmental rotas including reports
Qualifications and Skills
- Nursing qualification from a recognized school of nursing or University
- Qualification in specialised area (paediatric, theatre, ICU or Maternity) will be an added advantage.
- Current license with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous clinical nursing experience, with an interest to specialize in Critical Care
5. Staff Nurse (Theatre,
I.C.U, Casualty & Wards)
These are
core positions within The Nairobi Womens Hospital. Reporting to the
Unit-Nursing Services Coordinator, The position holder will be responsible for
delivering a professional and high standard of nursing care within the section; Ensure Superior Customer
Experience to both internal and external clients.
While
ensuring proper documentation, maintaining proper records, confidentiality, and
handing over between shifts at all times.
Also
participating in continuous medical education
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- KRCHN with basic training in specialised area (paediatric, theatre, ICU or Maternity)
- BSN or its equivalent is an added advantage
- Membership to a professional body
6. Pharmacy Services –In
Charge
The person
will be in charge of Leading, planning, organizing and controlling all pharmacy
activities in line with business objectives.
He/She will superintend the branch pharmacy
premise as per the pharmacy and poisons act, while ensuring all planned departmental
activities are geared towards meeting NWH strategic objectives.
Key as well
is compliance to QA standards by carrying out regular audits of all
activities/procedures/equipments to and financial prudence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology. (Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Will be an added advantage).
- Valid annual practice license with the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in a busy hospital pharmacy setting
7. Pharmacy Technologist
The
position holder will be charged with Receiving, filling and dispensing drugs
and medical supplies as ordered or prescribed by a qualified medical
practitioners.
Vis a vis
Clarification of prescription to patients and notification of any prescription
errors to the prescriber while updating drug patient bills.
Additionally
he/she will be responsible for generating
relevant reports as the basis for
the statistical reports on the consumption and balances of stocks in the
pharmacy
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years relevant work experience
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
- Valid registration license by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
8. Laboratory Services
In-Charge
Reporting
to the Lab Services Manager, the position holder shall among other duties
ensure Superior Customer Experience to all internal and external clients,
manage and control laboratory supplies, Streamline the service turn- around-
time (TAT) & Conduct regular audits of all activities to ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bsc in laboratory science or Higher National Diploma in Medical Technology in any Laboratory discipline- Hematology, Microbiology, and Clinical Chemistry
- Valid practice license
- At least 5 years relevant work experience as in a busy hospital Laboratory setting
9. Laboratory Technologist
The
preferred person will be responsible for ensuring all Laboratory equipments are
in good condition before starting the day’s work.
Additionally
ensure availability and optimum utilization of reagents for cost effectiveness
and billing all procedures to capture revenue.
He/She
shall Document all processes and results to ensure availability of supportive
information and Implement all set stock control procedures to ensure
accountability.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years experience
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a board recognized institution
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologist and Technicians Board
- HND is an added advantage
10.
Radiographer/Sonographer
The
suitable candidate will be responsible for but not limited to, Generating
anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images by using cognitive
imaging/ sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as
appropriate.
Additionally
maintaining a daily log of patients seen and completes all required billing
information.
He/She will
be required to analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and
medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
- Diploma holder in Medical Imaging Sciences from a recognised institution
- Must be a member of Radiology Board of Kenya
11. Accounts Assistant
Credit Control
Key
responsibilities will be to prepare post and reconcile financial transactions
and collect and reconcile all that is owed to the Hospital as per set target.
Additionally He/She will be
- checking invoices against supporting documents and dispatch;
- Planning with Cashier and Ward Clerk to ensure all services are billed;
- Checking inpatient/outpatient un-finalized invoices in the ERP and rectify any anomalies
Qualifications and Skills
- CPA II or equivalent
- Proven working knowledge of ERP and strong computer skills
- Analytical mind with strong orientation to financial analysis
- At least 2 years relevant work experience in a busy environment setting
12. Stores Assistant
The key
responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to -
- Receiving and verification of goods received or issued;
- Short listing of items due for ordering and confirm expiries;
- Maintaining updated stock movement records;
- Processing of departmental requisitions; Pricing and labeling of goods.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate in Purchasing and supplies
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
- Membership to a professional body
13. Medical Records
Technologist
The key responsibilities of this
role will include but not limited to:-
- Processing patient’s documents;
- Ensuring security and confidentiality of medical records;
- Maintaining patient’s files (medical records) and documenting their condition and treatment;
- Following up on discharged patients, their families and physicians. i.e. patients with terminal illnesses.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Medical Records and Information Systems
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Additional qualification will be an added advantage
