Chemonics
International Inc. is a leading international consulting firm based in
Washington, D.C. that has been implementing USAID programs in Kenya for 20
years.
This 4-year
program aims to create a national reading program in the 28,000 formal and
non-formal public and private primary schools across Kenya.
We are
looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives
of people around the world and demonstrate leadership, versatility, and
integrity in their work.
All
candidates must possess a degree in a relevant field and English fluency is
required.
Experience
in Kenya or East Africa is preferred.
Chief of Party
·
Minimum 15 years experience in managing education programs in
developing countries, preferably in the implementation of a national scale-up
and coordination of such activities
·
Proven ability to work collaboratively with host-country
officials, donors, and other key stakeholders
·
Master’s level degree in relevant field required
Deputy Chief of
Party, Programs
·
Minimum 10 years relevant technical experience and program
management in developing countries, preferably in the implementation of a
national scale-up and coordination of such activities
·
Proven ability to work collaboratively with host-country officials,
donors, and other key stakeholders
·
Master’s level degree in education or social sciences required
Deputy Chief of
Party, Operations
·
Minimum 10 years experience managing projects in developing
countries in the areas of operations, including administration, finance,
procurement, human resources, and grants administration
·
Master’s level degree in management, finance, or related field
required
Funds Manager
·
Minimum 5 years experience brokering partnerships and
implementing activities designed to leverage private investments to support
development goals
·
Proven ability to work collaboratively with youth and
institutional and private stakeholders in Kenya
·
In-depth understanding of the Kenyan private sector
institutional environment
·
Demonstrated grants management experience, preferably in Kenya
or East Africa
