Sciences for Health (MSH) is a nonprofit international health organization with
over four decades of experience in strengthening health systems, and capacity
of local institutions.
MSH seeks
to recruit a highly motivated and result oriented individual to join a dynamic
team in its effort to focus on strengthening the Center for Pharmaceutical
Management (CPM’s) portfolio of pharmaceutical management.
The
candidate will be stationed in Kampala or Nairobi.
Senior Management
Information Systems Advisor
(MIS Advisor) - 13-6899
The Senior
MIS Advisor oversees MIS activities that contribute to medicines supply
management.
He/she
leads the cross-functional product development team in the evolution and
delivery of CPM’s portfolio of pharmaceutical management solutions.
The Senior
MIS Advisor is responsible for all aspects of product definition, including
internal product development, stakeholder management, as well as the
client-facing definition and presentation of the solutions.
He/she will
supervise and provide technical support to members of their cluster, the
coordination of data collection activities in support of operational research,
sector assessments and evaluations, organization of national and provincial
workshops and trainings.
The
individual will play a lead role in evaluating systems and identifying gaps in
functionality.
Qualification & Experience
The ideal
candidate should have a masters degree in Computer Science or a technical
related field.
S/he should
have at least seven (7) years relevant working experience in providing
technical assistance in promoting national and provincial levels technical
competency in pharmaceutical management information systems, five (5) years of
which should be in computer system development, implementation & capacity
building and two (2) plus years of overseeing entire product development and
implementation of systems.
The
candidate needs to have demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing, Business
Intelligence and Data visualization considerations, monitoring and evaluation,
data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative).
In
addition, s/he should have strong experience in providing training, setting up
training programs and workshops.
The
successful candidate needs to be a strong team player with excellent
interpersonal, facilitation, relationship-building, negotiating and influencing
skills.
S/he should
work with minimal supervision under tight timelines and be able to support
cross technical teams and be available to travel internationally.
The ability
to speak French / Portuguese / Spanish will be an added advantage.
