CHAK, a national faith based organization of the Protestant Churches’ health facilities and programs in Kenya, is seeking to recruit an M&E Officer to support its integrated health projects M&E activities.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Strategic Information Coordinator, the incumbent will provide M&E/strategic information support to CHAK health and HIV programmes.

Key Responsibilities Include;
  • Conduct M&E activities for various health and HIV integrated programmes
  • Work with partners to ensure timely and accurate collection & processing of appropriate data
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual M&E reports
  • Support IT infrastructure and programming for electronic medical records
  • Facilitate capacity building for member health facilities in M&E and HMIS
  • Facilitate strategic use of data and information so as to improve health service delivery

Needed skills and experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, fairness and objectivity in problem-solving
  • Computer programming knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical software’s e.g. Epi info, SPSS,STATA, etc.
  • Familiarity with PEFPAR and MOH reporting systems eg KePMS and DHIS
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within Kenya

Minimum Education and Professional requirement

Applicants should have a minimum of graduate degree in information technology, computer science, statistics/biostatistics, public health/epidemiology, population studies/demography, or a related discipline

At least 3 years experience in M&E / strategic information.

Post graduate qualification in M&E, HMIS or other relevant field will be an added advantage.
