Corporate Affairs Manager

Overall Job Purpose

To develop and implement communications strategies aimed at the attainment of the corporations Strategic objectives and continuous improvements of its corporate image.

Reporting: The job holder reports to Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities shall include and not limited to:-
  • Develop and implement strategic cooperate communications and provide information to support the Board;
  • Devise and implement communication campaigns to the public on the functions of the Board;
  • Providing proactive public relations strategies and liaising with the media to enhance Board’s corporate image;
  • Oversee internal and external corporate events, public relations activities and manage stakeholder relationships;
  • Manage the organizations external agency, commissioning and overseeing the drafting and editing process for all internal and external (press) releases;
  • Identify and coordinate corporate social responsibility initiatives and other community based programmes

Education and experience:
  • Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in Communications or related field plus a Post Graduate Diploma in communications or related fields.
  • Five (5) years of working experience three (3) of which should be in a similar or senior position in public relations department
  • Proficiency in Computer application packages

Internal Audit Manger

Overall Job Purpose

Provide strategic direction, manage and execute the internal audit activity, coordinate specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the audit plan, monitoring compliance, preparing, presenting audit findings and recommendations and providing assurance of compliance with statutory requirements and the organizations policies and procedures

Reporting: The job holder reports to Managing Director and Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop risk –based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures
  • Review internal control systems and maintain adequate checks and balances to ensure compliance with set standards and specifications
  • Collate and analyze financial data and report on efficiency and effectiveness of funds utilization
  • Prepare and submit periodic audit reports to the CEO/Board in line with the approved audit plan
  • Undertake risk assessment and evaluation to ensure compliance with set standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports

Qualifications and experience and skills
  • Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in Commerce or Business Administration/Management (Accounting, Auditing or Business Management option) plus CPA (K)/ACCA final level and professional qualifications in Auditing e.g CISA or equivalent
  • Ten years of working experience in Audit five of which should be in a similar position or senior position.
  • The applicants should also have a good working knowledge of ICT accounting software applications.
