Representative
Location: Nairobi
The Life
& Peace Institute (LPI) is urgently seeking qualified applicants to fill
the position of Resident Representative to be responsible for the oversight of
the two offices based in Nairobi; namely the Somalia and Kenya Offices.
- Post-graduate degree in international relations, political science or other relevant field or experience;
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Management in peace building fields in developing countries;
- Very strong management skills, including planning, coordination, supervision, reporting
- Proven ability to fundraise especially among the Scandinavian donors;
- Experience in capacity-building, especially ability to mentor and coach colleagues and staff of partners;
- Understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures;
- Ability to provide technical oversight of the two offices in liaison with the Head office in Sweden
- Ability to provide financial oversight on the organization finances
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language;
- Ability to write and communicate with a Scandinavian language, especially Swedish
