National
Council of Churches of Kenya, an umbrella organisation for Protestant Churches
and Christian Organisations registered in Kenya, invites applications from
interested and suitably qualified candidates, to fill the following positions
at its newly established Jumuia Coffee House, Nairobi
Kitchen Steward
Reporting
to the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for assisting kitchen brigade in ensuring that
the kitchen are kept clean and tidy at all times, also ensure all F&B
outlets are provided with clean and sanitized operating equipment and to
utilize food handling techniques which are in line with current healthy and
safety regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
- Certificate in Food production
- 1 years’ experience in busy high end coffee houses /restaurants environments.
Other Competencies:
- Should be flexible and able to work in an environment where at times there are conflicting demands.
- Should have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Maintains high standard of personal cleanliness
Jumuia
Coffee House operates under the umbrella of Jumuia Resorts a chain of medium
size hotels managed and operated in a Christian value based environment under
the auspices of the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK).
