Our client, a leading Manufacturing Company is sourcing for talented, passionate, dynamic and results driven professionals to lead the Employee Relations Section of the Human Resources Function:-

Employee Relations & Services Manager - (One Position, Nairobi, Kenya)
Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, this position will contribute to the Human Resource Strategy by developing a progressive  Employee Relations strategy to ensure cordial industrial and employee relations while managing the HR Services.

This role will also ensure implementation of overall HR strategy in the specific areas and in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:-
  • Designing  and managing the Employee Relations and HR services strategy, policies, processes and procedures while ensuring their alignment, relevance and compliance to business objectives, legislation and standards
  • Ensuring speedy delivery of employee services and welfare by creating and monitoring sustainable systems
  • Leading in the interpretation and application of the labour laws and Company regulations
  • Driving grievances and disputes handling processes and procedures to ensure objectivity and harmonious work relations while providing appropriate advice and guidelines on all disciplinary matters
  • Liaising with appropriate regulatory and statutory bodies to ensure compliance, monitoring and reporting
  • Ensuring improvement of the health of the organization by monitoring productivity indicators for performance while reporting on attendance, grievances, work-life balance initiatives, and developing programs to ensure positive trends
  • Leading the preparation of CBA Proposals and Co-ordination of the CBA negotiations and meetings
  • Implementing resourcing strategies  by managing and monitoring recruitment and selection for Unionsable employees
  • Managing and monitoring the administration of medical,  occupational health and Staff welfare programs
  • Ensuring service delivery by 3rd party provider through Service Level Agreements
  • Preparing, monitoring and reporting the related section budgetary allocation
  • Developing, training, motivating and evaluating direct and general staff to achieve highest levels of performance
  • Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management

Academic & Professional Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree 
  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Not less than 5 years of active relevant experience with a background in labour legislation including managing Union and Works council
  • Working knowledge of HRIMS systems
  • Sound knowledge and experience in performance management
