Vacancy Announcement: County Coordinator (HIV Prevention MARP) - South Rift (Kajiado)
 
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position on a fixed term appointment of one year that is renewable for up to two (2) years.
 
Overall Purpose: Designs, plans, implements, and monitors HIV interventions in Kajiado County. 

As a member of the program team, provide programmatic support and specific expertise for program implementation in assigned regions. 

Provides detailed reports to the Program Manager and feedback to field staff and works closely with other County Coordinators.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring HWWK programs.
  • Conducts on-site monitoring visits and provides technical assistance, on-the-job training, and other program support as needed by HWWK staff and partners in North Rift Region.
  • Oversee capacity building activities for staff and beneficiaries within the project.
  • Facilitates planning, problem identification, and problem-solving activities with field program staff.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports on programs using data analyses and field reports, and provides systematic written feedback based on reports to field staff.
  • Work with the M & E department to implement tools for assessing program needs and conducting monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assists the Program Manager in maintaining administrative systems such as budgeting, logistics, and procurement.
  • Represent project at provincial and county level forums.
  • Provide leadership in implementing activities that ensure quality assurance.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.
Partnership with government agencies and other stake-holders
  • Work closely with the DHMT (District health medical team) to facilitate support supervision and mentorship.
  • Coordinate and facilitate timely submission of district reports
  • Monitoring, Evaluation Reporting and learning
  • Supervise collection of quality STI and HIV care and treatment data.
  • Supervise proper storage of client information to ensure confidentiality is maintained.
  • Document lessons learnt and challenges to inform program decisions.
Qualifications
 
The minimum required academic and professional skills for the jobholder to perform successfully in this position include:
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a credited university preferably in social sciences , community development or related field
  • A holder of a higher diploma in a related field with more than 5 years’ experience in a similar position will be considered
  • Post graduate qualifications in related fields including Program management, leadership and management, organisational development, monitoring and evaluation or strategic planning and networking will have an added advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Experience in budgeting and report writing
  • Computer literacy in the use of MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is desired 
  • Ability to work and deliver results with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
