Our client, a retail outlet specializing in sales of Electronics, Electrical
and Communication products seeks to recruit a Cashier / Till Attendant.
We
are specifically looking for someone with outstanding accounts experience in
retail or any relevant industry.
The
ideal candidate should have similar experience in handling a POS system.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving
payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
- Issuing
receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Assisting
customers by providing information and resolving their complaints
- Counting money
in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are
correct and that there are adequate change
- Calculating
total payments received and reconciling this with total sales
- Verifying and
reconciling petty cash claims to ensure correct usage, accountability and
accurate reimbursements
- Reconciling cash
collections with invoiced sales and send daily reports of transactions
- Maintaining
proper accounts i.e. vouchers, invoices, receipts and all accounts
transaction records and reports for reference and accountability
Qualifications
and skills
- A minimum of CPA
section 1
- Experience in
handling POS system
- A minimum of 1
year working experience preferably as an cashier/ till attendant in a
retail outlet
- High levels of
integrity and customer service
