Sales Representative Job in Nairobi Kenya

The Company:  

Ontex Tuketim Urunleri is the Turkish affiliate of Ontex International, European leader in hygenic disposables manufacturing. 

Ontex are looking at expanding their current operations in Kenya with the appointment of a local sales representative.       
 

Job Title: Sales Representative

Reporting To: Exports Manager, Turkey

Job Location: Nairobi

Main Tasks and Duties:
  • Source for and Manage product distributors / importers / wholesalers
  • Developing current and new business relationships; generating and negotiating new income for the organisation to an agreed annual target invoiced revenue, to increase year on year.
  • Presenting the organisation to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process 
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, quotations and any further documentation
  • Manage relations and the coordination with the distributor(s)
  • Follow up the market and competitors, report regularly to the Exports Manager – Turkey.
Selection Requirements

Academic Qualifications:
  • B. Comm. (Sales & Marketing) or similar degree qualification from a reputable University.
Technical Skills:
  • Proven success in sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
  • Excellent knowledge of the FMCG Market.
Computer Skills: 
  • MS Office Suite; Accounting software.
Length of Experience:
  • Over 5 years experience in FMCG sales with an International Company.
  • Experienced in working with distributors
Personality Requirements:
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
  • High level of initiative, team player
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High commercial acumen and a record of confidence dealing with middle managers through to decision makers
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored
  • Ability to work within laid down policies and procedures.
Other Requirements:
  • Valid Driving license with at least 5 years of clean driving record.
  • Fluency in English
  • Kenyan nationality
  • No restrictions for travel

Type of Contract:  Permanent, full time upon successful probation.
