KASNEB is established under the Accountants Act, No.15 of 2008 and the Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap. 534 with the mandate to develop syllabuses, conduct professional and technician examinations and certify candidates in finance, accountancy, governance, management, information technology and related disciplines; promote its qualifications globally and accredit relevant training institutions.

The
examiners will be allocated responsibilities from time to time in the
development and marking of examinations, advising KASNEB on the development and
review of examination syllabuses, examination rules, regulations and processes,
development of study and reading materials and related matters as appropriate.

Applicants for appointment as external examiners must fulfill the following minimum requirements.
A.
Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience
- A graduate in
any of the following professional qualifications: Certified Public
Accountants (CPA), Certified Public Secretaries (CPS), Certified
Information Communication Technologists (CICT), Certified Securities and
Investment Analysts (CSIA) or Certified Credit Professionals (CCP).
- Membership to
relevant professional bodies.
- A degree from a
recognised university in accounting, finance, economics, law, mathematics,
computer science/information technology or equivalent qualifications.
- Postgraduate
qualifications in any of the relevant fields.
- Post
qualification experience of not less than three (3) years in academia,
public sector, private sector, NGO sector or professional practice.
B.
Personal Attributes
The ideal candidates should be persons of high integrity who value the virtues of honesty, hard work, diligence and commitment.
In
addition, the candidates should demonstrate innovation, dynamism, self-drive,
focus and attention to detail.
Applicants should not be registered students of KASNEB.
Those who are interested and meet the above minimum requirements are requested to send their handwritten application letters accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials and national identity (ID) card and names and addresses of three (3) referees quoting the above reference number to the undersigned so as to reach him on or before Friday, 21 June 2013.
Applicants are advised to indicate in their application letters, the papers for which they would like to be considered as examiners.
