RTI is recruiting candidates for the following positions for an anticipated U.S.
Agency for international development (USAID)- Funded Governance Project in Kenya

The Chief of Party (COP) will have technical and managerial responsibility for all project personnel and serve as the project’s representative to USAID/Kenya, relevant line ministries, other donors and multinationals, technical agencies and other participating organizations as required. 

The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and include travel to regions covered by the project.

Qualifications:
 
  • Master’s degree in public administration, policy, finance, planning or governance or an advanced degree in a related field. 
  • Senior project management expertise with 15 years of experience in the design, implementation and management of international governance or related projects. COP experience preferred. 
  • Relevant experience in Kenya and/or the East African sub-region is also highly desirable.
The Deputy Chief of Party will be responsible for assisting the COP with regards to program leadership, strategic planning, management and quality assurance; and will deputize for the COP during absences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Economic Development, Public Management or related field relevant to the position requirements, 
  • minimum 5 years working in international development with progressively greater responsibility, minimum 2 years working in governance; 
  • minimum 8 years’ experience in project management.
