Role and Responsibilities
- The local team members will help set up and conduct
interviews, including translation as required.
- They may assist with analysis and report preparation as
appropriate §
Qualifications and Education
Requirements
The local team members should have
- A social sciences degree, field research experience,
familiarity with either the coast province or the rift valley,
demonstrated ability to work well with relevant ethnicities and fluency in
English and Swahili.
- Degree in social sciences (required)
- Familiarity with, and prior work in either the rift
valley or the coast province (required)
- 3 year minimum professional experience
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- Experience in field research, and ability to work well
across ethnic and tribal affiliations
Preferred skills
- The ideal candidate will have prior work experience in
the target region, preferably be from there (coast and rift valley).
- (S)he will have experience setting up interviews,
identifying key stakeholders, conducting and translating interviews, and
analyzing and reporting on data collected.
