Lubricants Sales Representative
Summary
Our Client is a fully fledged oil company with affiliates in East Africa and a large network of service stations in Kenya.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Lubricants Business Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and executing Lubricants Business Sales Strategy, tactics and activities to achieve company objectives for business development, growth, retention and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement
Lubricants business strategies and tactics to respond to changes in
business environment
- Make accurate
cost calculations, provide customers with quotations, negotiate the terms
of agreement and close sales
- Coordinate day
to day inventory management so as to ensure that products are consistently
available
- Source and
improve on the existing business to grow volume and develop lubricants
business in different market segments
- Responsible for
coordinating customers orders and follow up on delivery
- Ensure customers
requirements are defined, understood, documented and follow up on amicable
resolution of customer complaints and feedback
- Monitor sales in
the market and undertake market analysis to ensure targets and objectives
are met
- Responsible for
product merchandising at sales outlets
- Identify
customers and staff training needs on lubricants and other petroleum
products and facilitates the implementation of the same
- Carry out
marketing programmes for lubricants brand building, advertising and sales
promotion
- Identify the
need for and coordinate technical services as lubrication audits/surveys
and progressive oil analysis as may be required by customers from time to
time
- Develop and
maintain a contacts database and continually update it with contact and
activity details
Minimum
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in
business management or equivalent, a diploma in sales/ marketing/customer
service is an advantage
- 4-5 years sales
experience in B2B sales preferably in lubricants markets
- Strong
communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong
interpersonal and relationship building skills including customer service
skills
- Strong
organizational, business planning and reporting skills
- Strong
commercial awareness and Computer literacy
- A confident and
determined approach and ability and desire to sell
- The capacity to
flourish in a competitive environment
