We are looking for suitably qualified applicants to fill vacant positions as shown here below.


Prime Mover Truck Driver

Reporting to the Shipping Officer, the successful candidates will be expected to discharge the following key responsibilities:- 

·                     Driving company trucks & ensuring safety of products/goods carried
·                     Consolidation of teas in designated warehouses
·                     Transportation of export containers to the port
·                     Collection of import containers from the port to various destinations and delivery of empties to respective container deports.
·                     Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely repairs of the truck to ensure sound upkeep.
·                     Requisitioning for and verifying of quality spares ordered for repairs of trucks.
·                     Providing Reports on the truck maintenance.
·                     Ensuring safe custody of the vehicle and cargo, compliance with traffic regulations, the Highway Code and local authority by laws.
·                     Ensuring valid road taxes and licenses for the truck.
·                     Ensure compliance to quality and food safety sector requirements
·                     Any Other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
·                     A minimum of KCSE D+
·                     A clean Driving License BCEI (Artic)
·                     At least 2 years hands on experience in local and long distance prime mover truck operations in a busy transport company

Quality Assurance Officer

Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, the successful candidate will be required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and management systems.  

The Key responsibilities for the job are as follows:
·                     To maintain and continually improve the management systems in order to guarantee quality assurance of our products to customers.
·                     Facilitating training of teams and workforces on quality and food safety objectives, lead and motivate teams of workforces by communicating and reinforcing expected standards of performance
·                     Developing a quality assurance inspection and controlling program and communicating to all respective process owners
·                     Supporting managers in designing processes in conformance with systems
·                     Advising Management on capital investments based on quality systems requirements
·                     Provide support to third party, customer and regulatory audits at all CTCL’s business units
·                     Take responsibility for Non conformances/ CARs from Audit reports
·                     Ensure traceability and recall for all products; ensuring non conforming goods are identified, isolated and placed on hold to undergo due process
·                     Investigates complaints on existing products and services and works with Quality Assurance Manager on responses to customers
·                     Develops and recommends test procedures for products and packaging materials and liaising outsourced laboratories for testing, and conducting and reporting statistical analysis and trend charts
·                     Managing calibration, troubleshooting, cleaning procedures, preventive maintenance and all associated documents and records associated, informs process owners of any equipment that does not confirm with quality system requirements
·                     Conducts periodic internal audits to support quality and food safety system requirements and performs associated document review
·                     Ensures maintenance of a system for collecting data, storing and analyzing to identify trends, prepares performance reports
·                     Performing any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
·                     Degree in Food Science
·                     Lead Auditor in quality management system ISO 9001, FSMS
·                     Relevant work experience of 2 years

Warehouse Officer
Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Warehouse, the successful candidate will be required to oversee effective and efficient warehouse operations as per approved procedures.  

The Key responsibilities for the job are as follows:
·                     Verifying stock receipts and sanctioning delivery notes before release of cargo
·                     Overseeing preparation of shipments and stuffing and release
·                     Responding to clients inquiries, requests and requirements on time
·                     Ensure efficient utilization of people, machinery and equipment
·                     Oversee stock management and ensure availability of status reports as required
·                     Ensure housekeeping standards in accordance with industry/sector requirements
·                     Provide leadership, motivation and enhance teamwork
·                     Confirmation of monthly stock take and submission of stock reconciliation report.
·                     Ensure effective implementation and maintenance  of quality and food safety management systems including statutory and regulatory requirements
·                     Any other duty assigned by management.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
·                     Bachelors degree in a business related field.
·                     Diploma in Warehousing, C&F,
·                     Computer literate
·                     3 years experience in a similar capacity in a busy tea warehouse

Shipping Officer

Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Shipping, the successful candidate will be required to facilitate effective and efficient coordination of imports/exports.  

The Key responsibilities for the job are as follows:
·                     Verifying shipping documents for exports/imports as per approved procedures and ensuring compliance with government regulations
·                     Obtaining required licenses for shipping and C&F operations
·                     Liaising process owners for timely preparation of consignments for shipping
·                     Co-ordination of local transporters for tea consolidations of cargo at respective stuffing bases
·                     Ensure allocation and availability of containers  at designated warehouses on time
·                     Supervise and verify container stuffing and release from respective warehouses
·                     Ensure insurance cover for shipments in transit is in place
·                     Safekeeping of accountable documents
·                     Ensure effective implementation and maintenance  quality and food safety requirements including statutory and regulatory provisions
·                     Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
·                     A Bachelors Degree in a business related field
·                     Diploma in Shipping/ Clearing and Forwarding
·                     Proficiency in computer application packages
·                     At least 3 years experience in a similar position

Credit Controller

Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, the successful candidate will be required to  enforce credit policies and general debt management.  

The Key responsibilities for the job are as follows:
·                     Implementation of  the company’s credit policies, procedures and control systems
·                     Preparing timely and accurate reports and distributing to appropriate users
·                     Ensure proper maintenance of effective accounting control systems for debtor’s  accounts
·                     Posting journal entries into clients’ accounts
·                     Attending to customers enquiries concerning their accounts
·                     Liaising with business units on effective collection of outstanding accounts
·                     performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications/Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications                            
·                     Bachelors Degree, from a recognized university
·                     Final Professional Accounting Qualification such as CPA, ACCA 
·                     Proficiency in computer application packages
·                     At least 3 years experience in a similar position
·                     Demonstrates maturity, leadership and organizational skills
