Project Coordinator
Kwetu
Home of Peace has been established to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Reintegrate
children from the streets of Nairobi.
The
Home invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the
position of Project Coordinator.
Reporting directly to the Director, the jobholder will be responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the Home.
Key Responsibilities
- To participate
in Rescue, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of street children in the city
of Nairobi
- To develop
project proposals for internal and external funding (Donor Funded
Projects)
- To follow up
with existing and submitted project petitions
- To initiate and
supervise internal fundraising mechanism and projects so that they
generate income
- To creatively
initiate new projects and fundraising mechanisms in consultation with the
Director and Board of Directors
- Ensure
proper and efficient costing for projects profitability
- To submit timely
reports to donors and relevant people
Qualification
and Knowledge
- A diploma in
development studies with emphasis on Project Management or a certificate
in the same with two (2) years experience. A first degree in a related
field will be an added advantage.
- Experience in
working with Community Based Projects (CBP)
- Excellent
written and verbal communication and analytical skills
- Experience in
managing a team in achieving and exceeding stated objectives
- Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented and
collaborative environment
- Skills or
experience in resource mobilization
- Must be computer
proficient
