Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization (IRDO) with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in over 15 districts in Nyanza, Rift Valley and Western Provinces. 

IRDO’s principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health of individuals and local communities. 

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following senior positions.

Finance Manager 

Will report to the Director, oversee over 25 accounting staff, and take charge of all financial responsibilities of the organization.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·                     Act as the lead person for all financial matters under IRDO.
·                     Oversee staff in the Finance Department and provide regular capacity building to all existing and newly recruited staff to enable them perform efficiently.
·                     Supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports; ensure internal and external audits are performed in a timely manner.
·                     Ensure financial requirements, policies and procedures of IRDO, donors, and the government are followed.
·                     Formulate, plan and prepare financial, statutory and management accounts, budgets and forecasts and ensure compliance by use of appropriate accounting systems, standards and procedures.
·                     Participate in the preparation of annual organization budgets and budgets for individual projects.
·                     Monitor budget performance of all funding sources and projects, and provide regular briefing to IRDO Management and other entities as required.
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
·                     A minimum of Masters Degree in Finance/Accounts or its equivalent; must be a CPA (K) or ACCA finalist.
·                     Over ten years of proven extensive, work experience in the field of finance, with at least 3 of these years in USG-funded projects preferred.
·                     Demonstrated leadership skills in a busy organization; proven teamwork and flexibility in demanding situations.
·                     Good negotiation, diplomacy, communication, planning and coaching skills.
·                     Demonstrated competency in computer applications; proficiency in relevant computerized accounting system a must.
Turkana County Coordinator - Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Roll Out Program
 
Job Summary:
 
To coordinate the implementation of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) activities in Turkana County. 

The individual will be based in Lodwar town with frequent field visits.

Minimum Requirements:
·                     At least an Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Nursing.
·                     Registered with the relevant professional body in Kenya.
·                     Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience coordinating public health programs preferably HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
·                     Training and practical experience in providing VMMC services added advantage; but not a requirement
·                     Good written and verbal communication skills.
·                     Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages required.
