Job Objective:

To be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives, evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed and oversees all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Development and launching of new products
  • Provision of business development monitoring reports.
  • Coordinate the organizations external communication aimed at branding and image building.
  • Carry out periodic portfolio performance analysis of all products.
  • Maintain vibrant marketing strategies for all products.
  • Conduct period surveys to measure client satisfaction and credit needs.
  • Monitor and advice on client’s service delivery standards to clients.
  • Ensure maintenance and continuous update of the client’s Kenya website.
  • Coordinate the Company’s CSR activities
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with the business community.
  • Conducting market research studies
  • Measuring external customer satisfaction levels
  • Researching and developing new products and new markets
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating programs for collections and creating customer loyalty programs
  • Developing tele-auditing programs
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating customer service strategies
  • Managing public relations with micro entrepreneur associations, support and training organizations, and providers of products and services for micro entrepreneurs
  • Monitoring the competition Proposing and participating in studies on opening new branches
  • Proposing and providing guidelines regarding maintenance of the corporate visual identity
  • Proposing the strategic marketing plan
  • Proposing the personnel recognition and incentive plan
  • Designing and overseeing the web page
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Experience:

At least five (5) years relevant Marketing experience with Micro Finance Institution or financial sector in a Managerial position

Skills and Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Social Science
  • Post graduate diploma in  marketing and/or business development or related field, or commensurate (equivalent) as an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Good analytical skills

Special Working Conditions:
 
The jobholder is required to work within normal working hours in an office environment, but may work long hours once in a while.
