The
office of the Governor, Turkana County wishes to recruit a competent and
qualified person to fill the following position in the Turkana County Public
Service Board
Chairperson, Turkana County Public Service Board (1 Post)
- Appoint persons
to hold or act in office of Public County Offices including in the Boards
of Urban areas within the County and to confirm appointments.
- Prepare regular
reports for admissions to the County assembly on the execution of the
functions of the board.
- Promote in the
County Public Service the values and principles referred to articles 10
and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya.
- Evaluate and
report to the County Assembly on the extent to which the values and
principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya
2010 are compiled in the County Public Service.
- Facilitate the
development of coherent, integrated Human Resource Planning and Budgeting
for personnel emolument in the County.
- Make
recommendations to the salaries and remunerations Commission on behalf of
the County Government, on the remuneration, pensions and gratuities for
County Public Service employees
For
appointment to this position the candidate must:
- Be a Kenyan
citizen.
- Be a holder of a
first degree from a University recognized in Kenya.
- 10 years working
experience.
- Satisfy the
requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya
- Conform with the
requirements of article 233 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
- Understand the
diversity within the County.
NB:
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
