Business Development Executives Jobs in Kenya


Our client a newly established serene retreat centre in Nanyuki is recruiting Business Development Executives to promote its services locally and internationally. 

The centre is on 7 acres, 5 km from Nanyuki town at the edge of Mount Kenya Forest overlooking Mount Kenya.
 
The successful candidates will work closely with the Director to develop the retreat’s marketing strategy that will be focused on promotion of creative engagements through arts. 

The ideal candidates should be entrepreneurial and technology savvy with a demonstration of capability to grow the centre in return for long term rewards. 

Reporting to the Director, the Business Development Executives will be responsible for marketing and sales.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement thematic based marketing plans for the retreat centre;
  • Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities;
  • Promote the centre through online marketing channels, social media, direct marketing presentations, among other methods;
  • Assist in managing the centre’s website content and presence in social networking sites and postings on relevant blog sites;
  • Build/maintain relationships with existing clients and pursue new business relationships;
  • Monitor and plan for business development effectiveness and sales targets.
Qualifications
  • A Degree in hospitality management or business related field from a recognised institution;
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in sales and marketing from the hospitality industry;
  • Passionate about arts and creative engagements such as visual arts, performances and community engagement;
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills;
  • Indepth knowledge of online marketing, social media platforms and how they can be effectively deployed for the benefit of the centre;
  • Excellent written, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills in English.
