Program Officer for Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships
 
The National Empowerment Network of People living with HIV/AIDS in Kenya (NEPHAK) is a national network that unites people living with HIV (PLHIV) and those affected by TB and AIDS through community based organizations such as post-test clubs, support groups, men’s associations, carers associations, women groups, youth groups and non-governmental organizations including PLHIV networks. 

NEPHAK works in partnership with relevant government of Kenya institutions and structures.
 
NEPHAK is currently looking for qualified professionals to support effective stakeholder engagement at national level and to ensure well coordinated, targeted and responsive resource acquisition efforts that focus on NEPHAK programmatic priorities and core competencies.

Purpose of Job
  • Support the implementation of clear and tangible strategies for ensuring a well-coordinated and target responsive resource acquisition efforts and effective NEPHAK stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Support the implementation of resource mobilization and partnerships building strategy.
  • Support the training of staff and affiliates to enhance resource mobilization within NEPHAK and among member organizations
  • Develop and maintain donor/partners database for NEPHAK.
  • Hold annual donor/partners forum and roundtable discussions
  • Expand current NEPHAK partnerships to broaden training opportunities for NEPHAK staff and affiliates
  • In liaison with the programme manager (Resource Mobilization and partnerships), ensure quality and timely proposals are developed and marketed.
  • Support the development of NEPHAK coordination framework (linkage with national coordination structures: NACC; NASCOP and DLTLD)
  • Ensure high quality representation with donors, CSOs, Government and other stakeholders as assigned by Programme Manager (Resource Mobilization and partnerships) and/or National Coordinator.
  • Document and compile lessons learned and reports as appropriate
  • Undertake any other duty as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in social sciences/humanities and/or its equivalent.
  • In-depth understanding of community development issues, proven capacity building and mentoring for grass-root CSOs
  • Knowledge of TB and HIV/AIDS policy issues and experience in working with PLHIV organizations.
  • Must be ICT proficient with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in resource mobilization.
  • Good report writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal oversight and supervision, assess priorities, and competently complete a variety of activities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
  • Proven ability to concurrently handle and prioritize multiple tasks for multiple projects; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player and demonstrates high integrity.
