Chief Accountant
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Somalia is an
International Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya and operating
in Somalia.
ADRA Somalia desires to hire a qualified and experienced
professional to fill the position of Chief Accountant.
Location: Nairobi with frequent visits to the Somalia.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures
the completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
- Responsible
for reviewing the financial reports before submission to prospective
donors.
- Preparation
and monitoring administration budget and cash flow planning for both
administration and projects.
- Take
responsibility of preparing and updating the ledger of ADRA Somalia
Assets.
- Assist
in budget preparation during proposal development.
- Coordinate
all the Audits.
- Ensures
compliance with statutory regulations.
- Responsible
for monitoring Finance in the Nairobi/Field offices.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor
of Commerce (accounting/finance option) or business related degree from a
recognized university.
- Holder
of CPA (K) or equivalent.
- Minimum
7 years working experience with at least 3 in a Senior Management level.
- Knowledge
of Sunplus is an added advantage
- Previous
experience in managing staff.
- Experience
with USAID, DFID and EC regulations strongly preferred.
- Be
proficient in computerized accounting systems and strong spreadsheet
skills.
