Business Developer

Purpose of the position:


We are looking for a Business Developer to join our team and sell our digital marketing services to organisations across a variety of different verticals in and beyond East Africa. 

The ideal candidate will have interaction with decision makers from top-tier local, regional and international businesses.  

This opportunity could turn into a Team Leader role for the right Individual. Dotsavvy is an exciting and growing company looking for individuals who have that go getter attitude.

  • A disciplined account development strategy that delivers and strengthens relationships with executive decision makers at existing and prospective client businesses.
  • A person with digital marketing and technology consulting sales experience.
  • An extremely well networked digital marketing and technology sales professional.
  • An industry expert capable of orchestrating a team of industry, functional, and technical experts to craft a compelling value proposition for our existing and prospective clients.
  • A highly experienced digital marketing and technology sales professional that can sell big-value to clients in the various markets that we serve.
  • The expertise of a digital marketing and technology sales professional able to drive complex, long sale cycles from negotiations through the close of sales that adds value and meets profitability targets.

Requirements:
  • Prospecting of existing and prospective customers to identify their current or future needs; assisting customers with their buying decisions
  • Providing information about our digital marketing services, providing presentations and demonstrations both in person and through online, developing proposals and quotations
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of the Dotsavvy's products and services, sales objectives, strategies and pricing and delivery, in order to understand and provide solutions to customer questions
  • Meeting and exceeding sales objectives; Achieving revenue and profitability targets by account, together with supporting rationale for current financial performance and future forecasts.
  • Travel to customer sites and attend relevant events throughout the year
  • Coordinate the analysis of multiple opportunities simultaneously through several stages of due diligence with appropriate experts from Dotsavvy’s other functional areas and/or team members
  • Leading customers through the development of business cases and obtains approval of senior management when necessary or required
  • Interviewing client stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities; understands their business strategy and can identify digital marketing opportunities opportunities that either align with or help to enable that strategy;
  • Conducting market surveys/studies to understand potential solutions, best-practices, benefits, and cost-drivers related to business opportunities;
  • Defining short and long term account objectives for each account, together with targets, timelines and metrics for success.
  • Collaborate internally within Dotsavvy to ensure teams are informed, aligned, and motivated to succeed with existing and prospective accounts
  • Provide insight and open doors to drive growth of Dotsavvy's portfolio of digital marketing solutions
  • Take the leadership role in support critical strategic account negotiations, calling on functional support as required.
  • Lead and support creation of sales presentations and proposals, and overarching bid strategy, and lead subsequent bid defenses.
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of Dotsavvy's services, sales objectives and strategies and pricing and delivery, in order to understand and provide solutions to customer questions
