Position: Technical Officer

Reporting Level:Company Security Manager

Working Hours

Between 0800 and 1700 hrs. However, the nature of the task is an Operational status; you must be willing to work beyond the specified hours as the situation may demand.

Summary of the Position

Carries with it the capability to coordinate and supervise all activities related to the technical running of the organization majorly alarm response security systems.

Scope of Duties
  • On reporting on duty, check the 24 hours Operational status and Contracted Alarms Activity.
  • Note and list down all matters that require attention.
  • Attend to Technical Breakdowns as necessary.
  • Have morning Security briefing with the Security Manager
  • Survey and quote for new Installations.
  • Cost for new Installations and subsequently obtain at least 3 Quotations before purchase.
  • Ensure that all purchased Materials and Equipment are properly booked in the Store and the same properly booked out for use.
  • Make regular visits to contracted Alarms Client for Servicing and Maintenance.
  • Make necessary follow up to ensure all Alarms Services are paid for,
  • Remove Alarms transmitters as may be advised by the Company.
  •  Ensure that all Technical Equipment’s and Materials are well stored, Serviced and maintained.
  • Make monthly reports for the state of the following in your charge:-
  1. All Technical Material and Equipment in the Company Stores
  2. Serviceability State of all Technical Material and Equipment in use for the Contracted Clients and within the Company Premises.
  • Obtain Agreement Certificates for the Contracted Services
  • Make Monthly Reports with recommendations on improving Technical Service Performance for our clients
  • Be able to carry out any other duties as may be assigned to you by the Company.
Education and Experience
  • Must have a diploma electrical engineering .
  • Must have experience in a security firm for at least 2 years.
  • Applicants who have degree will have a higher advantage
