Quantity Surveyors Jobs in Kenya


A position has arisen for two Quantity Surveyors the details of the position are entailed below.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Read and understand drawings for architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical.
  • Able to accurately calculate B.Qs.
  • Taking measurements on site and from detailed drawings and preparing bills of quantities.
  • Carry out feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs
  • Negotiate and draw up bids for tenders and contracts.
  • Monitor each stage of construction to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts
  • Prepare in-house estimates, derive cost, valuate variation order and analyze financial bids
  • Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
  • Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets
  • To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
  • Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
Requirements
  • Higher Diploma or degree in Quantity surveying
  • 3 to 5 years work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Must be knowledgeable in Cost Estimates and Contracts
  • Good Communication skills
  • Able to deal with different types of people
  • Must be flexible and very hardworking
  • Must be committed.
  • Candidates who can speak Chinese will have an added advantage
