Manager, Treasury 


(PB 4)
 
Position Function
 
To take charge of the treasury activities of the Bank and put in place adequate plans and policies that will ensure the effective management of investments, the availability of cash and management of creditors and debtors.
 
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Cash Management including cashflow forecasting
  • Identify and actively pursue investment opportunities that will deliver maximum returns for the Bank
  • Ensure adequate cash management controls and ensure compliance so as to secure the Bank cash resources
  • To ensure compliance with Statutory requirements as pertains to KRA, NSSF, NHIF RBA amongst others
  • Establish credit limits, negotiate credit terms and regularly monitor for compliance to stipulated requirements and to ascertain that the Bank continually meets its obligations
  • Negotiate interest rates, services, transaction charges, forex rates etc with other Banks and financial/lending institutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree preferably in Accounting, Finance and Economics
  • CPA(K), ACCA or CFA
  • Computer literacy
  • Senior Management courses and seminar
  • Working analytical, negotiations, communication and leadership skills
  • 7 years accounting experience in a busy Financial Institution and at least 3 years’ experience in a busy treasury and investment function


Database & Web Administrator 

(PB 6.1)
 
Position Function
 
Responsible for managing the bank’s databases and development of web based applications.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ensuring that the database is running optimally.
  • Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to ‘front end’ users.
  • Mapping out the ‘conceptual design’ for planned database in outline.
  • Installing and testing new versions of the Database Management Systems (DMS).
  • Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary.
  • Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans.
  • Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly as well as controlling access permissions and privileges.
  • Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
  • Maintaining the Bank’s Website and other Web Based applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
  • 3 years proven track record in ICT; 1 year as a Developer using Oracle.
  • Training in Oracle and UNIX Administration.
  • Training on development using Standards-compliant XHTML and CSS, JavaScript. MS SQL Databases.
  • Training in Data Networks Communication.

Customer Relations Officer / Cashier 

(PB 7)
 
Position Function
 
To coordinate customer relations activities and ensure provision of quality customer service so as to attain high levels of customer satisfaction/expectations and promote good corporate image of the Bank. 

Responsible for ensuring adherence to proper counter procedures and methods of safety, custody, accuracy and maintenance of cash and related assets at the counter
 
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Attending to customer problems and issues by identifying, interpreting and suggesting appropriate remedial measures.
  • Implementing changes to improve customer service.
  • Coordinating and facilitating accounts opening.
  • Facilitating the flow of information between the Bank and its customers.
  • Ensuring brand visibility within the Branch.
  • Analysing and classifying customer complaints, compliments, suggestions and queries and submit regular and timely reports.
  • Perform cashiering duties
  • Custodian of cash and other accountable documents
  • Selling the Bank products
  • Disseminate information to customers on new products
Qualifications
  • Minimum KCSE Level certificate of C+ grade or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Business Management/Administration/Marketing/Banking or a business related field from a recognized institution.
  • Certificate in Customer Care/Public Relations/ Communication or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of operating systems, products and services.
  • 2 years working experience in Customer Service or related field

Assistant Maintenance Officer

(PB 6.2)
 
Position Function
 
Carry out preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis on machinery and equipment so as to minimize breakdown and maintenance costs and improve efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, maintaining, overhauling and repairing machines and equipment in a timely and effective way in order to keep interruptions to a minimum.
  • Requisitioning of spare parts and materials as needed.
  • Identifying unserviceable equipment and inform management for action.
  • Maintaining an awareness of technical, safety, health and environmental standards and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Maintaining and updating maintenance records of all equipment and machines.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • National Diploma in mechanical, electrical engineering or electrical maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • At least one year experience in job costing and work planning.
