Job Summary:
The Chief of Party (COP) will be the project’s senior supervisor
and will oversee all aspects of performance for a public health project in
Kenya.
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the COP will
serve as the project’s principal contact point for funder, government, civil
society, and implementing partners.
The COP will supervise and oversee project staff and
consultants.
S/he will have overall responsibility for ensuring that
procedures are established and adhered to for activity development,
implementation, monitoring, evaluation, procurement, budgeting, and financial
accounting.
S/he will provide overall supervision of implementing partners
and ensure timely progress against schedules, achievement of deliverables, and quality of results.
Minimum Requirement
- PhD
in relevant field with 7-9 years of experience or MS/MA/MPH in
international development, public health or related field with 9-11 years
of relevant experience with at least 5-7 years of senior-level project
management experience, preferably in Kenya or East Africa or BS/BA in
public health or related fields with 11-13 years relevant experience with
at least 8 years senior level experience in coordinating development
efforts in public health.
- Experience
managing US government funded projects with sub awards to local partners
highly preferred.
- Experience
living and working in Kenya preferred; Kenyan nationals are encouraged to

- Demonstrated
ability to think strategically, lead teams, make high-level decisions, and

- Familiarity

Deputy Chief of Party / Technical
Director

Job Summary:
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)/Technical Director will assist
the Chief of Party (COP) with all responsibilities and activities, including
development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and technical direction
of a public health project in Kenya.
S/he will support the COP with oversight and implementation of the project, including monitoring the budget/spending, management of the schedule/deadlines, management of partners and drafting of required reports.
The DCOP will assist the COP in creating and maintaining good
working relationships with all partners, including the funder, government
counterparts, local
organizations, and program partners.
Minimum Requirement

Finance Manager

Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will provide overall financial management
for a public health project in Kenya.
Responsibilities include monitoring project finances, preparing
project budgets, managing financial reporting to clients, ensuring adherence to
funder rules and regulations, coordinating with headquarters on financial
information, providing financial technical assistance to develop the capacity
of FHI 360 partner organizations and entities in the country, and acting as a
resource for project staff on finance-related issues.
Minimum Requirement
- BS/BA
in Accounting, Finance or related field, and 7- 9 years combined
experience in accounting/budgeting management; or MS/MA/MBA with 5 - 7
years combined experience in accounting/budgeting management.
- Must
be a CPA (K).
- Strong
working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Experience
managing US government funds.

Senior Technical Officer, Laboratory Technical Specialist

Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Officer (STO), Laboratory Technical Specialist
will provide laboratory support and guidance to staff and partners for a public
health project in Kenya.
S/he will implement and monitor laboratory systems strengthening
initiatives according to international standards, funder and Government of Kenya
requirements.
S/he will implement a laboratory capacity building and
networking strategy and support laboratory training, mentorship, technical
assistance, and quality assurance activities to build the capacity of facility
staff, government counterparts and local partners in supported laboratory
facilities.
The STO may be required to support the development and adoption
of laboratory procedures and manuals and train staff in their use.
S/he will also evaluate programmatic effectiveness and provide laboratory
technical assessment reports to include corrective actions and capacity
building plans
Minimum Requirement
- Degree
in biological science or laboratory sciences within a clinical or
diagnostic discipline with a Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory
Technology or equivalent with 7-9 years of related work experience within
a clinical or research laboratory, including experience with laboratory
quality control and quality assurance systems and implementation; or
Master’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability
and aptitude to provide laboratory accreditation mentorship services and
to perform quality assurance assessments against accepted national and
international standards and regulations.
- Direct
experience developing and delivering trainings in laboratory
sciences.
- Proficient
computer skills in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent
interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
- Good
in both written and spoken English and report writing.
- Supervisory
experience is an added advantage.
- Experience
with US government-funded programs is a plus.
Senior Technical Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation

Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Officer (STO), Monitoring and Evaluation
(M&E) will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive M&E
plan and activities for a public health project in Kenya, focusing specifically
on systems for collecting data to measure project implementation,
effectiveness, quality assurance, documentation and reporting.
The position overseas implementation of data management and
M&E activities in accordance with guidelines stipulated by the funder and
the Government of Kenya and regularly updates project staff on progress towards
implementation of the work plan and designing methods for demonstrating program
outputs, outcomes and impact.
Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor’s
degree in social science or public health with 7-9 years relevant
experience or Master’s degree with 5-7 years relevant experience.
- Must
have at least 5-7 years of experience in managing and executing M&E
activities for donor-funded programs.
- Computer
proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, including
advanced skills in at least two of the following programs: SPSS, Excel,
Epi Info, Stata, and MS Access.
- Excellent
interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability lead a team.
- Experience
with US government-funded programs and reporting requirements is an
advantage.
- Proven
experience in public health-related research and/or surveillance is a
plus.
- Excellent
oral and written communication skills in English
