Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in Bondo, Nyando, Rongo, Migori, Nyatike, Homa Bay, Suba and Pokot North.

Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities.

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following position in North Pokot District, West Pokot County.

Divisional Male Circumcision Mobilizer

Create demand for voluntary Medical Male Circumcision services within the division.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, support and coordinate MC mobilization activities within the division.
  • Prepare and submit reports as and when demanded.
  • Prepare VMMC social mobilization workplans for the division and share with relevant authorities.
  • Work with the District Social Mobilizer, District MC In-charge, and Team Leaders to make sure clients rights are observed at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Should have at least Form Four. Certificate in Social Work is an added advantage.
  • Should have at least one years experience in mobilization.
  • Preferably should be a Pokot native, and fluent Pokot speaking and well conversant with the Division in terms of its locations, sub-locations, and villages etc.
  • Knowledge on HIV/AIDS issues an added advantage.
  • Must be pleasant, able to write reports, have good communication and leadership skills; and willing to work under pressure.
