Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in Bondo, Nyando, Rongo, Migori, Nyatike, Homa Bay, Suba and Pokot North.

Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities.

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following position in North Pokot District, West Pokot County.

District Male Circumcision Social Mobilization Coordinator 


Provide technical support to social mobilization team, prepare and submit work plans, reports as and when demanded.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, support and coordinate MC mobilization activities in the district.
  • Prepare and submit reports as and when demanded.
  • Ensure adherence to national social mobilization and demand creation protocol.
  • Prepare VMMC social mobilization workplans for the district and share with relevant authorities.
  • Facilitate setting up of mobilization teams at the facility and community level.
  • Work very closely with the MOH’s Community Health Services focal persons.
  • Work with the District MC In-charge and Team Leaders to make sure clients rights are observed at all times.
  • Support the Community Social Mobilizers and Community Health Workers with technical social mobilization skills during mobilization activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Should have at least a Diploma in Public Health, Community Health, or Social Work.
  • Should have at least two years experience in a public or community health setup.
  • Preferably should be a Pokot native, and fluent Pokot speaking and well conversant with the District in terms of its locations, sub-locations, and villages etc.
  • Knowledge on HIV/AIDS issues an added advantage.
  • Must be pleasant, able to write reports, have good communication and leadership skills; and willing to work under pressure, and preferably computer literate.
