The ICRC Somalia
Delegation in Nairobi is seeking for an experienced and highly motivated person
to fill the above mentioned position.
This position is a
full time position starting immediately.
Job Profile:
The “Flying”
Administrator forms part of the Administration team working under the
supervision of the Somalia Head of Administration.
The incumbent will be
responsible to provide advice, as well as to support the Delegation’s
strategies on diverse issues related to the implementation of Office and
Residence Management in the domain of Administration and Finance in
Somalia.
These duties require
an in-depth knowledge of Administration and Finance procedures as well guest
hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Will be
based in Somalia (mainly in Mogadishu) and work within the frame of the
Administration department with regular support mission towards other
offices in Somalia as well to the Delegation in Nairobi;
- Giving
support and working in close collaboration with the Regional Field Officer
Coordinators based in the different regions of Somalia
- Ensure
that administrative files are executed in the respect of given procedures.
- Organize
and supervise the office and residence structures (Welcome service as well
hospitality management of the guestrooms)
- Supervise,
coaches and evaluate staff working in the Administration department.
- Follows
up expenses related to administrative department, reporting
- Contribute
and proposes alternative solutions to improve existing structure (like
cost efficiency, admin. Procedures).
- Ensures
the communication flow on Administration matters within the office
Minimum requirements:
- University
degree in Business Administration and other related fields.
- Minimum
3 years work experience in a similar field
- Excellent
command of English and Somali languages
- Team
leadership skills
- Very
good analytical skills
- Sense
of organisation
- Confirmed
capacity to work independently
- Good
knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
- Good
computer skills
Other requirements:
- Experience
in humanitarian work.
- Experience
in Hotel Management an asset
- Good
interpersonal, reporting and writing skills
- Ability
to work independently and in a team
- Flexibility
and willingness to travel in Somalia and to spend some periods in the
field.
