Parts Manager
Job
purpose
To
effectively and efficiently manage the Parts Department
leading to enhanced sales and performance and sustaining and growing the
Department as a profit centre in line with the Company’s strategic objectives.
Key
Responsibilities
- Responsible
for ensuring the achievement of the budgets set for the department.
- Manage
performance of employees in the Parts Department to ensure that
profitability and customer satisfaction are attained at all times.
- Operate
the approved stock control system with emphasis on maximizing sales at
least cost.
- Identify
stock needs and ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained as per
company procedure.
- Liaise
with the audit department to ensure that scheduled stock taking exercises
are carried out as planned.
- Identify
obsolete stock in line with the Finance Department guidelines.
- Implement
performance programmes as and when requested for by management.
- Carry
out random stock checks to ensure that approved policies and procedures
are complied with.
- Conduct
market surveys with a view of establishing the company’s competitive
position in relation to parts sales.
- Manages
the level of discounts given to customers and ensures that the
department’s discount policy is adhered to.
- Plan
and implement incremental business campaigns in an effort to increase
sales and customer base.
- Plan
sales territories to maximize profitable market penetration.
- Analyze
the information produced by computer management systems, to initiate
action and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct
random checks to ensure approved procedures are complied with.
Qualifications
- University
Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study.
- Diploma
in Purchasing and Supplies.
- Knowledge
in stores management.
- Management
and Leadership training.
- Proficiency
in Computers.
Experience
- A
minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in the Motor industry.
- The
ideal candidate must have demonstrable flair for people management and
stores management.
Warehouse Supervisor
Job
Purposes
To
effectively control the movements of parts within the warehouse and to ensure
their timely dispatch to branches and customers.
The
position is also responsible for warehouse security and the supervision of
warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensure
prompt and efficient supply of parts to both customers & workshop
counters with appropriate documentation.
- Ensure
that all branch dispatched parcels are accurately weighted, physical
quantities verified, and relevant information entered in the parts
dispatch advice forms & security waybill.
- Control,
train and motivate warehouse staff.
- Ensure
that all import receipts are dealt with as per policy & procedure
manual and errors / discrepancies notified to the Warehouse Manager.
- Oversee
the overall security of the warehouse.
Requirements

Qualifications

in Stores Management, CIPS or related field of study.
- Knowledge

Stores Clerk
Job Purposes
The
stores clerk will effectively execute the clerical functions in the parts
department, thereby facilitating effective parts service to customers.
Key
Responsibilities
- To
ensure that parts received in the warehouse are properly stored.
- To
ensure that parts movements in the warehouse are accurately documented.
- To
ensure tidiness in the warehouse at all times.
- To
provide customers with efficient service.
- To
ensure that health, safety and security requirements are upheld at all
times.
Qualifications
- Certificate
in Stores Management, CIPS or related field of study
- Proficiency
in Computers.
Experience
- A
minimum of 1 year relevant working experience preferably in the Motor
industry.
