Kangaita Tea Factory Jobs in Kenya


Kangaita Tea Factory Co Ltd is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant position.


Factory Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: -

  • Ensuring that production of tea is carried out within the set quality standards;
  • Maintaining accurate production records;
  • Ensuring achievement of the set production targets;
  • Supervision of staff in the assigned production lines;
  • Ensuring maintenance of hygiene standards in the production floor;
  • Liaising with the factory management on production floor issues.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills & experience:-
  • ‘O’ level division II or KCSE ‘C’ plain;
  • Diploma in Food Science and Technology from a recognized institution;
  • At least three (3) years working experience in a food processing establishment;
  • Computer literate.
Senior Factory Mechanic

Reporting to the Production Manager - the successful candidate will be responsible for: -
  • Maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for the entire factory;
  • Allocating duties and supervising machinery maintenance team;
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely repairs of the factory machinery and equipment;
  • Requisitioning and verifying of quality spares ordered for machinery and equipment maintenance;
  • Writing technical reports on plant and equipment maintenance;
  • Carrying out timely and scheduled statutory maintenance and repairs of both steam boilers and diesel generators;
  • Observing and complying with environmental, health and safety measures and regulations
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills & experience:-
  • ‘O’ level Division II or KCSE C plain;
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) or Mechanical Engineering Technician 111 Certificate;
  • A certificate of good conduct;
  • At least five (5) years experience gained in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the tea industry;
  • Computer literate.
