The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Somalia is an
International Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya and operating
in Somalia.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Education Project Coordinator.
Location: Galmudug and Mogadishu
Responsibilities:
- Plan
and organize project implementation processes.
- Conceptualize,
design and develop education projects and programs.
- Ensure
proper utilization of funds vis-Ã -vis approved project budget.
- Ensure
compliance to agency/donor financial regulations in the project.
- Provide
timely, quality and accurate project reports meeting donor guidelines.
- Document
and disseminate best practices on Education projects.
- Develop,
manage and administer of education projects at community level.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Applicants
must have Degree in Education Management with speciality in basic and
secondary education.
- At
least five years in developing and implementing Education projects
preferably in NGO setting.
- A
minimum of two years of project management experience in postconflict
countries.
- Should
have experience working with civil society groups and government
authorities.
- Previous
working experience with EC and DFID-funded projects will be an added
advantage.
- Sound
knowledge of project management techniques (project planning, budgeting,
progress reporting, monitoring and evaluation) is required.
- Willingness
to live in South Central Somalia.
