Our client, Fresh Cuts (U) Ltd is a leading meat processing industry. 

They wish to recruit an Operations Manager.
 
Job Profile
  • Manage the operations of the company.
  • Ensure smooth operation of various processes that contribute to the production of goods and services of the company.
  • Logistics management ensuring that the machinery and equipment used have the ability to produce goods and services for the client at an acceptable standard.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and quality assurance managers to ensure that the goods meet an acceptable standard and generate positive feedback from clients.
  • Follow up on fire fighting training for all staff especially on how to use fire extinguishers.
  • Ensure first aid equipments are available at the all designated business areas on the site and are operational.
  • Ensure that site maintenance is supervised and all necessary actions implemented.
  • In charge of ensuring company’s vehicle maintenance which entails garage and fuel monitoring.
  • Prepare reports on the current condition of logistics and decide on the next course of action.
  • Ability to manage third party relations such as security, administrative assistants and office conveyance.
  • Ensure that the standard procedures are followed when third parties are hired. i.e. repair men, builders, off loaders, etc.
  • Request for the processing of Identification cards for staff upon confirmation from the Human Resource Manager.
  • Reporting accident claims of their fleet to the police and insurance on time while keeping the legal department in the know of the same.
  • Liaising with other departmental heads on issues of operations i.e. the sales department, marketing department and productions department.
  • Monitoring Orange lines (CUG) and ensuring payments are made and lines are active.
  • Monitoring the company generator fuel tank and filling it up when due.
Person Profile
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience. 
  • Exposure to the refrigeration system is an added advantage.

  • Self Motivated — Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his or her own drive or initiative.
