GM – Business Operations
Our Client, a successful and established medium-sized regional business in the areas of hygiene, facilities management and allied services including provision of outsourced labour, is looking for a mature, motivated, self-driven and energetic business leader with strong skills in business development, operation and administration to manage and grow their business in the region.
Job Summary: Responsible for identifying and developing new
business opportunities across the region, primarily the challenge would entail
managing the ongoing business, leading a team in service delivery, providing
superior customer service and managing relations with existing Clients.Our Client, a successful and established medium-sized regional business in the areas of hygiene, facilities management and allied services including provision of outsourced labour, is looking for a mature, motivated, self-driven and energetic business leader with strong skills in business development, operation and administration to manage and grow their business in the region.
Reporting to the CEO, the GM – business operations, will be responsible for:
- Achievement
of set targets as per company business plans and objectives
- Formulation
of sales and business development strategies and implementation of the
same
- Enlisting
of new clients who require the company services and products in Kenya and
the region through effective team supervision and follow-up
- Ensure
visibility in the market and maintaining excellent relations with client
organizations
- Oversee
implementation of plans, drawing budgets and implementing work activities
efficiently
- Prepare
periodic management reports and participate in senior management meetings
- Management,
development and nurturing of direct reports and resources assigned to self
and the team to ensure high levels of motivation and performance in the
region
- Ensure
compliance of statutory requirements and all the rules and procedures
across all the Markets
Essential or minimum requirements
- A
relevant degree in business studies or technical area with added exposure
in business and entrepreneurship
Knowledge and Experience
- 5
years business leadership experience with a “hands-on” orientation in
marketing, business development and operations in a service industry,
gained in a competitive environment.
- Selling
experience including leading a sales team would be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge
of the regional market would be a key advantage
- Computer
literate
- Customer
Care experience in hospitality and service setting

to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strategic
planning abilities with administrative capabilities including budgeting
- Excellent
report writing, communication and presentation skills
- Passionate
about service, explores long term relationship opportunities to grow
business
