DAC Aviation (EA)
Limited provides contract air service, including aircraft, aircraft
maintenance, aircraft parts, flight training, flight personnel and related
aviation support systems. DAC Aviation (EA) Limited is heavily involved in
humanitarian projects through the logistical support of commercial,
governmental and nongovernmental projects in Afghanistan, Sudan, the democratic
republic of Congo, Chad and neighboring countries.
Director of Flight Operations
Requirements:
- An
airline transport pilot license
- Three
years experience as pilot-in-command in commercial air transport
operations of large aircraft
- Must
possess the ability to manage complex tasks associated with airline
operations
- A self
motivated individual with very good communication skills
- Extensive
experience in an airline flight operations management role.
- A
university degree in management or any other related field.
Key tasks:
The director of flight operations is responsible for safe and efficient overall operations of DAC Aviation (EA) Ltd aircraft operating under the Air Operator’s Certificate issued by the Authority and to promote safety awareness and to actively encourage open reporting and feedback.
He/She will be responsible for the following main functions:
- Overall
policy relating to the commercial direction, safety and efficiency of the
company’s operation, relative to the terms and requirements of the Air
Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and the relevant legislation currently in
force.
- Defining
and maintaining the highest standard of safety of company aircraft
operations and maintaining the standard of operational efficiency for
operations staff
- Ensuring
that the company’s operational policies and safety standards, as decided,
are implemented and administered and that these policies are kept under
review.
- Ensuring
that the organisation and administration of the company enable the
operation to function efficiently
- Liaising
with the Director General on all matters affecting the company’s AOC and
flight operations.
- Setting
safety standards for all flight and cabin crew and operations staff
through their respective managers and ensuring that the operations of the
company are subject to periodic audits by the Director of safety to ensure
compliance with stated company policy, civil aviation authority (KCAA)
requirements and legal requirements in states which the airline operates
or overflies.
- The
formulation of operating policies and strategies in support of the airline
goals
- Responsible
for the coordination of maintenance compliance as per contract with DAC
Aviation (EA) Ltd.
- Responsible
for Operations Control Management.
Chief Pilot
Qualifications and experience
- An
airline transport pilot license with the appropriate ratings for at least
one of the aircraft used in the air operator certificate holders
operations
- Three
years experience as pilot-in-command in commercial air transport
operations
- A
commercial pilot licence with instrument rating in lieu of the airline
transport pilot licence if the pilot in command requirements for the
operations conducted require only a commercial pilot licence
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Avionics
Qualifications and experience
- Have
category “R” (comm/nav) and “X” (electr/compass) Engineers License
minimally
- Recent
(within the last 2 years)appropriate training on Bombardier Dash 8 series
100 to 300
- At
least 5 years appropriate practical experience
- Be able
and willing to obtain category “R” (pulse equipment) rating
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Mechanical
Qualifications and experience
- Have
category “A” and “C” (gas turbine) Engineers License
- Have a
minimum of 5 years experience on Bombardier Dash 8 series 100 to 300,
and/or Cessna C208 Caravan, of which at least 1 year must be as certifying
engineer
- Have
received initial or recurrent type training within the last two (2) years
- Other
aircraft type experience would be an added advantage
Captains CRJ
Qualifications and experience
- The
successful candidate must have:
- Must
have a valid ATPL
- Must
have current instrument rating
- Must
have minimum 4000 hours total time
- Must
have 750 hours on type (CRJ)
- Must be
current on type (CRJ)
- 1500
hours minimum on high performance aircraft ( Turbo prop)
First Officers CRJ
Qualifications and experience
- Must
have CPL/IR (Commercial Pilots License/Instrument Rating)
- Must
have 2000 hrs total time
- Must
have 750 hrs total time as PIC
- Must
have 300 hrs time on type and in similar type of operations
Captains (DHC-8)
Qualifications and experience
- Must
have a valid ATPL
- Must
have current instrument rating
- Must
have gas turbine engines experience
- Must
have 4000 hours total time
- Must
have 500 hours on type
- Must
have a valid type rating on the above aircraft type
- Total
PIC 1500 , PIC On type 350
Quality Assurance Manager
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to the Director of Quality for implementing a Quality Assurance system to monitor compliance with KCAA Regulations.
Qualifications
- A
technical qualification in the field of aircraft maintenance, or flight or
ground operations.
- At
least three years experience in the field of aircraft maintenance, flight
or ground operations.
- Has
successfully completed training in a quality management course recognized
by the authority.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise
the operations quality system.
- To
ensure that the annual audit plan is carried out.
- To
monitor training and qualification of operations personnel.
- Perform
evaluations, audits and inspections as a part of quality assurance
functions.
- Identify
and record any findings or concerns.
- Collect
the objective evidence necessary to substantiate findings or concerns
through designated reporting channels.
- Monitor
the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Maintain
and update quality audit / evaluation files.
- Verify
the implementation of solutions.
- Communicate
and coordinate through the Director of Quality Assurance System Program
activities with KCAA personnel on a regular basis.
