Assistant Study Coordinator (Kisumu) -1 Post
A career interest in HIV/STI research and training is strongly preferred.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supervision of
study sites within Western and Nyanza, collection and analysis of data.
S/he must be able to work with minimal supervision and be ready
to work long hours when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Medicine (MBChB or equivalent)
- Registration
with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Certification
in Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practice
- Demonstrated
ability to plan, lead, coordinate, and accomplish research activities
- Strong
analytic, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability
to work in a team environment
- Ability
to travel to different study sites in Western and Nyanza Provinces
Responsibilities will include:
- Training
staff at multiple field sites in Kenya
- Managing
study ethics and human subjects protection
- Database
development and management
- Oversight
of study implementation at VCT sites in Western and Nyanza Kenya
- Preparation
of research reports
Please note that the appointment is on a one year contract term
renewable on mutual agreement and availability of funds.
