The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, not-for-profit, international University first established in 1983, with 13 teaching sites in eight countries. 

It is a non-denominational institution open to all, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, gender or national origin. 

Since 2001, AKU has offered academic programmes in nursing, medicine and education for and in countries in East Africa.

The Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development, East Africa (AKUIED, EA) invites applications for the following positions based in Dar-es-Salaam:
  • Associate Professor/Full Professor, Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation
  • Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, Science Education
  • Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, Equity & Inclusion in Education- Gender Specialism
  • Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Equity/Inclusion in Education
You will be expected to play a leading role in advancing the Institute’s research, scholarship and innovative teaching. 

You will be expected to initiate and develop research programmes and projects and nurture talent in the region.
