Glacier Products Limited, the manufacturer s of ice cream (Dairy
land, Mio and Amore) seeks to recruit aProduction Managerwho
will be based in our Nairobi plant.
The Production Manager will be involved in Planning,
co-ordination and control of manufacturing processes.
- He
/She will be in charge of drawing up a production scheduler on the basis
of production planner on weekly basis.
- Monitoring
production and adjusting schedules as required
- Ensuring
that scheduled work output is per the set timescales and targets
- Assisting
with Quality Control programs to safeguard product quality
- Managing
different departments to ensure synchronization of expected daily output
- Ensuring
SOPs are developed, maintained and implemented at the shop floor
- Review
and improve existing systems and work procedures
- Initiate
new systems to improve productivity
- Ensure
health and safety guidelines are followed
- Monitoring
set budgets.
- Working
out human requirement.
- Managing
employee performance and evaluation
- Ensure
new employees are oriented and well trained on the job
- Dealing
with disciplinary issues on the shop floor
- Leave
planning management for production team
- Leading,
motivating and develop production team
- Duty
allocation in liaison with relevant supervisors
- Identify
training needs for production team
- Oversee
machinery maintenance schedules
- Ensuring
overall machinery efficiency to reduce downtimes
- Responsible
for selection of machinery
- Any
other duty as assigned from time to time
The Production Manager will be reporting to the Managing
Director.
- Experience
- Minimum
2-3 years in a busy FMCG environment.
- Posses’
people and processes skills.
Qualifications
- A
degree or Higher diploma in Food Science and Technology
- FSMS
will be an added advantage.
