IFC manages the Investment Climate Advisory Services of the
World Bank Group which offers client governments a wide range of services to
assist them in improving their investment climate.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, the team has implemented reform programs
for almost a decade, focusing on economy-wide investment climate reforms, such
as business registration and licensing, investment promotion, inspection
reform, business taxation, trade logistics, regulatory governance and special
economic zones.
In line with its strategy, the Investment Climate Business Line
has been engaged in the health sector in Africa since 2009, as part of IFC’s
Health in Africa Initiative (“HiA”).
HiA is now seeking to add an Operations Officer (Health Policy)
to its existing policy advisory team to focus on its work in Nairobi,
Kenya.
In addition to technical skills, candidates will demonstrate
outstanding interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills.
Other requirements:
- A
Master’s degree in public health, public policy, international affairs, or
business.
- A
minimum of 7 years’ experience in policy development, private sector
development, or management consulting, preferably in the health sector.
- Proven
ability to work cross-sector, with experience advising both
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages,
particularly French;
