Marketing and Sales Project Manager

The Marketing and Sales Project Manager develops, coordinates and implements marketing programs, campaigns and promotional efforts. 

The Manager initiates activities to expand brand awareness, drive growth and coordinates with the management team to support all types of marketing endeavors of the organization. 

Manages the development of marketing materials from initial conception through the design and corporate approval process.

Responsibilities
  • Executes marketing plan and promotions with vendors, sponsors and partners to ensure that all attributes and offerings of plan and promotions are realized
  • Assists in relationship management with partners, sponsors and industry affiliates
  • Maintains website representation including calendar, banners, search engine optimization and promotions
  • Utilizing corporate templates, creates collateral, sales kits, ads, promotional materials and email blasts
  • Execution of CRM strategy supporting in-house CRM system including the integration of external databases and lists and delivery of correspondence to customers/partners, and vendors.
  • Develops plans for support and coordination of external events including local festivals, partner events and industry tradeshows
  • Support for internal and external marketing communications including liaison to PR and media firms.
  • Creation of new partner promotions to drive brand identity, community give-back and good neighbor messaging
  • Creates online ads and tracks the traffic that these ads generate to the corporate or specialty web sites.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by management.
Qualifications
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or corporate communications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft project and Office environment.
  • Two to four years of experience is required with one to two years in a similar role
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience
  • Strong communication skills, detail oriented and flexible.
  • Good problem solving skills related to scheduling, prioritizing and production.
  • Ability to effectively work with wide variety of people located throughout the organization and beyond.
  • Having worked in a busy Bookstore environment will be an added advantage.
