Limited, a leading beverage bottling franchise of The Coca Cola Company is
seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the vacancy mentioned
below:
Supply Chain Manager
He/She will be
responsible for effective and efficient delivery of products to the Company’s
customers and manage the Company’s warehouse, Company fleet, procurement and
stores functions of the Company.
Key Accountability / Result Areas
The Supply Chain
Manager’s principal accountability will be:-
- Formulate,
execute and review corporate strategies, policies, plans and budgets in
line with functional responsibilities of the Supply Chain Department.
- Supervise
and manage the functions of distribution, warehousing, procurement,
stores, and garage.
- Manage
the department’s staff, including responsibility for scheduling work,
performance management, setting up of Key Performance Indicators,(KPIs),
discipline and authorization of overtime.
- Ensure
customer orders are delivered promptly and cost effectively at all times
in the Company’s franchise territorry.
- Provide
a full range of stores services in line with management policy on stores
and stock management.
- Manage
the overall procurement function which will include the development and
implementation of policies and procedures including the development of an
elaborate supplier base.
- Manage
the Company fleet through the development of fleet management systems which
are strictly adhered with within the organisation
- Supporting
other departments within the company through planning and scheduling the
delivery and collection of goods.
- Optimize
utilization of resources available in the department to attain the highest
standards of service in regard to product handling in the warehouse,
distribution and container handling.
- Develop,
implement and regularly review the internal control systems to guard
against stock and container losses in the warehouse and operations yard.
- Continuously
monitor the stock levels to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained,
while ensuring there are no stock outs.
- Establish,
monitor and review procedures for hiring external transporters.
- Establish
a preventive maintenance program to minimize costs and maximise use of
company fleet.
Qualification and Competencies
- Holder
of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Economics or a Business field from a
recognised University.
- Post-graduate
qualification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or
Procurement is desirable.
- A
relevant Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
- A high
degree of strategic and commercial aptitude as well as excellent
communication skills.
- At
least seven years experience in supply chain management in a large busy
concern, three of which must be in a senior position.
- Excellent
interpersonal Skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong
leadership skills and computer literate.
