opportunity for a Project Coordinator in Lamu.
Reporting Date:Immediately
Job Description:Project Co-ordinator is accountable for the coordination of
Zinduka Afrika programs, including various components of the project
implementation for intermediate and final results achievements.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate
the implementation of Zinduka Afrika programs
- Supervise
the implementation process and in accordance with the deadlines based on
plans and timeliness of the programs
- Support
in supervision and provision for efficient use of the financial resources
of ZAF Programs.
- Co-ordinate
preparation of timely periodical reports and present monthly, quarterly
and any other required reports of the project to the Program Manager in
accordance to the set donor guidelines and approved organizational
policies.
- Provide
lead in Preparing suggestions, plans and other documents that results to
enhanced strategy in the framework of the projects.
- Coordinate
timely request for funds and any other materials/equipments for ZAF
programs.
- Identify
and enhance networking and collaboration
- Monitor
and Evaluate activity(s) of ZAF programs.
- Support
in Lobbying and Advocacy in the relevant areas
- Promote
gender mainstreaming in the project.
- Supervise
the project Officers.
- Mobilize
resources; specifically write proposals for the purpose of Projects.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:
- At
least a first degree, in Social Work, Public Health, Public
Administration, Psychology or any other related Social Science field. A
diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage
- Extensive
knowledge of HIV Prevention and Management
- At
least three years experience in Project Management
- Must
have worked with an NGO for not less than three years
- Computer
Skills: Strong with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and
Power Point.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
- Program
design and evaluation skills experience.
- Grant
management skills
- Fund
raising skills for instance proposal writing
- Good
supervisory skills
- Ability
to write Quality reports
- Must
be a team player

- Implementing
components of the project.
- Identifying
and Profiling of Community Health Worker(CHWs.)
- Coordinating
HIV Testing and Counseling activities during World Aids Day and Vulnerable
Children Days.
- Supporting
in referrals of Clients to the identified Health Facilities.
- Prepare
timely periodical reports and present monthly, quarterly and any other
required reports of the project to the Project Co-ordinator in accordance
to the set donor guidelines.
- Identify
and enhance networking and collaboration in the HIV and AIDs field.
- Monitoring
and Evaluation activity(s) for the Project.
- Supporting
in Lobbying and Advocacy for people living with HIV and AIDs.
- Promote
Gender mainstreaming in the project.
- Participate
in mobilize resources/ proposal writing for the purpose of HIV and AIDs
Project.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

- A
diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage
- Extensive
knowledge of HIV Prevention and Management
- At
least 2 years Work experience in Project Management.
- Must
have worked with an NGO for not less than two years
- Computer
Skills: Strong with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and
Power Point.
