Business Analyst

Nation Media Group is the largest independent media house in
East and Central Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital
media.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and self- motivatedBusiness
Analyst.
Key responsibilities
- To
conceive, initiate and coordinate research to deliver scientifically
gathered information to enable Nation Media Group make informed decision
in achieving its business objectives.
- Preparation
of specific high quality analysis, reports and Power point presentations.
- Investigating,
evaluating, developing and advising business cases for all possible market
gaps that could be exploited through new strategic initiatives through
Greenfield start-ups or mergers and acquisitions.
- Liaising
with third party research agencies, consultants and potential joint
venture partners.
- Developing
detailed business plans and supporting implementation for approved
business development initiatives.
- Carry
out research that informs key planning assumptions, consult with senior
colleagues and independently develop capital investment outlays, profit
and loss, cash flow and balance sheet projections.
- Execution
of new product and business projects after approval of business plans
—this includes involvement in equipment ordering, consultant liaison,
recruitment, pre-launch market research, product development and other
project execution tasks.
- Working
in tandem with the departmental head to formulate, update and maintain
comprehensive budgets and business plans for the Group Business
Development Department.
- Examining
integrity of data in the reports to Management to be used in decision
making.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- A
university degree
- Diploma
in research/statistics
- A
minimum of 5-7 years’ experience
- CPA
or ACCA qualification
