Microfinance Manager and Marketing Manager Jobs in Kenya


We are a fast growing medium sized commercial bank with established wide branch network across the country. 

We are seeking to recruit high calibre persons who can prove and demonstrate capacity to carry out their responsibilities with minimal supervision to fill the following positions:-

Microfinance Manager

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Job Holder will be responsible for management of microfinance business of the Bank.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years experience in microfinance, 3 of which must be at middle level management. 
  • Professional banking qualifications will be an added advantage.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and efficient management and growth of the Microfinance portfolio of the Bank
  • In liaison with Head of Business, review regularly the Microfinance trends in the industry and revise the operations of the microfinance products of the Bank to stay abreast of the industry develops, risks, and in line with global best practices
  • Champion the growth in Microfinance Book in the Bank and maintenance of agreed PAR parameters.

  • Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated experience and results oriented track record in microfinance
  • Understanding of accounting and financial management issues affecting the microfinance sector
  • Demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams and to achieve goals through teamwork
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to local culture and political settings as may affect the microfinance market
  • Strategic perspective.
Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Job Holder will be responsible for creating and implementing compelling integrated marketing and communications that support the Bank strategy

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, with 5 years experience in a financial institution and /or FMCG , 2 of which must be at middle level management.
  • Professional qualifications such as Diploma in sales or marketing will be an advantage.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
  • Enhancing service culture of the Bank – branding, customer service programs, charter , research together with product penetration and development
  • Improve customer service standards via marketing & sales initiatives, surveys and implementation of customer service resolutions process
  • Support business growth by creating and supporting demand for bank products through marketing promotion campaigns
  • Development of marketing strategy to support business growth through new product development
  • Enhance the Banks corporate image through marketing and corporate social responsibility initiatives and activities.
